Vistaweave Care & Warranty

To obtain maximum life from Vistaweave® mesh, the following tips should be observed:

• Periodically hose the fabric with clean, cold water to remove environmental pollutants such as dust, dirt, and bird droppings. Do this at least once a month.
• It is important that a Vistaweave® blind or awning is let down to dry after wet weather, and that the mesh is allowed to air dry completely before retracting or stowing it away.
• Retract blinds or awnings before or during high winds, severe rain, hail, or snow to prevent damage.
• Blinds, awnings and track systems must be installed with firm tension to prevent flapping in the wind. Loose fabric can lead to premature strength loss.
• Do not allow organic matter (leaves, soil, or animal droppings) to remain in contact with the fabric for extended periods.

For a deeper clean:

• Use a soft cloth or sponge with a mild, non-alkaline household detergent diluted in lukewarm water (not exceeding 30°C).
• Rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove all soap residue.

Important restrictions:

• Do not use high-pressure power washers, abrasive products, stiff brushes, or scrapers, as these can damage the fabric and will void the warranty.
• Avoid contact with chemicals, petrol, oils, solvents, kerosene, pesticides, environmental pollutants and other similar substances.

Scope of warranty:

The warranty is pro-rated, taking into account depreciation due to sun exposure, weathering and wear-and-tear, and applies as follows when the fabric is recognised as faulty:

Nolan shall either replace the fabric free of charge, or at its convenience, reimburse the invoice value of the section of fabric recognised as faulty. Nolan is not responsible for the cost of dismantling the awning, blind or track system or installing the new one.

Claims procedure:

Warranty claims must be sent within 10 working days of the fault being noticed and must be accompanied by the following:

• Purchase receipt of awning, noting date of installation.
• Purchase receipt of fabric from Nolan.
• Photographs of fault.
• Where possible, photograph of awning on or near date of installation.

Upon receipt of the above, an expert from Nolan will examine the fabric under claim.

Normal wear and tear:

• Colour change and product deterioration due to normal outdoor weathering.
• Deterioration of the mesh panel or awning, blind or track system caused by aging and normal wear.
• Minor cosmetic imperfections, such as marks, creasing, and minor knitting faults.

Environmental and weather-related damage:

• Defects resulting from "Acts of God," natural disasters, lightning strikes or unusual climatic events.
• Exposure to excessive pollution, chemical solvents, or harmful cleaning agents.
• Damage from concentrated heat reflection or burns from fires, cigarettes, flares or other sources of flame.
• Soiling or fouling caused by animals and animal droppings.

Installation and use-related damage:

• Damage caused by incorrect installation, design fault, or use outside its intended purpose.
• Damage caused by inadequate tensioning.
• Imperfections due to poor handling or installation.
• Damage from objects placed on or hung from the fabric or system.

Maintenance and other damage:

• Damage caused by inadequate maintenance, alterations or repairs by an unauthorised party.
• Inappropriate use of detergents, chemicals, solvents or abrasive scrapers/brushes.
• Damage from civil unrest, pandemics, government actions or changes in law.
• Damage from accidents, vandalism, negligence, or other objects falling onto the shade structure.
