Installing and supplying Outdoor Blinds & Shade solutions in Geraldton
Geraldton’s wind is famous for a reason. The summer southerly blows most afternoons from October to March, hard enough to make the town a windsurfing destination and hard enough to empty an unprotected patio by early afternoon. Add salt off the ocean, sand, hot inland easterlies in the morning and the flies that come with a dry summer, and outdoor living in Geraldton depends on having something between you and the weather. Outdoor blinds are that something, and they need to be built for it.
All About Shade regularly quotes and installs outdoor blinds across Geraldton and the Mid West, including Sunset Beach, Bluff Point, Tarcoola Beach, Wandina, Strathalbyn, Drummond Cove, Glenfield, Woorree, Dongara, Northampton and Kalbarri. We are West Australian owned, an authorised Ziptrak® retailer, and every installation carries our 5 Year Guarantee.
What we install most in Geraldton
Ziptrak® Outdoor Blinds are the product Geraldton asks for, and the gallery on this page is full of them: a job we called the Geraldton wind wall, a wind blocker, a wrap around installation, bug free living, coastal views and protection from the elements. The track guided system locks the blind into a channel on each side so the southerly cannot get behind it, the components step up in strength as the blind gets wider, and in mesh it cuts glare off the water while keeping the view. eZIP® Outdoor Blinds are our value track guided option and a popular pick for entertaining areas, as on an eZIP® installation in Geraldton built for exactly that.
Crank & Clip Blinds suit windows and smaller openings where a simple, adaptable manual blind is wanted, and a sun blocking crank and clip installation in Geraldton shows them at work. Roof to Fence Blinds handle a side patio that runs to a fence, and Ziptrak® Clear PVC Café Blinds give a completely wind proof surface where the view matters and airflow does not.
Built for the Geraldton southerly
Wind loading is the first thing we look at. We recommend a 97 to 99 per cent Visiontex® or Vistaweave® mesh for glare and wind, a bottom bar weather strip to stop the blind lifting, and a removable post on any span wider than 6 metres. Hardware is powder coated aluminium, and the Streamline pelmet option is fully aluminium and rust free, which is our recommendation for anything within reach of salt spray. Like any outdoor blind, Ziptrak® blinds should be raised in a severe storm, and a motorised set makes that a one button job. Solar powered motors need no wiring and keep working in a blackout.
