Halls Head | Pebble Auto Lock Awnings

Recently installed in Halls Head.

This Halls Head installation was designed to solve a very common problem for front-facing rooms: harsh afternoon sun streaming directly through the window and heating up the home.

When sunlight hits glass for hours at a time, the room behind it can quickly become uncomfortable. By installing Auto Lock Awnings to the front of the house, the owners can quickly lower the awnings during the hottest part of the day and cut back the direct sun before it enters the home.

This is a practical form of passive solar control. Instead of waiting for the room to heat up and relying heavily on air conditioning, the awnings help block the heat at the source. The result is a more liveable home, better control over glare, and less pressure on the cooling system during warmer weather.

For this installation, 2 x Auto Lock Awnings were selected for the front windows of the home, helping reduce the impact of hot afternoon sun before it enters the living areas.

All aluminium components were powder coated to suit the existing exterior, creating a clean finish from the street. HVG Fabrics supplied Visiontex® Plus Mesh in Pebble, offering 94% UV protection.
