Installed in: Beaconsfield, 6162
This Beaconsfield home has a lovely white pavilion set out in the garden, raised on its own slab and framed by hedges. It’s the kind of spot that should get used every day, but with one long side completely open, the afternoon sun poured straight in and the space was often too hot and bright to sit in.
One wide Ziptrak® Outdoor Blind, at just over 5m across, now closes off that open side. It’s motorised with a hardwired Linx® motor, with the electrical work included in the job, so the blind lowers and raises at the push of a button. A heavy duty base rail keeps such a wide run of fabric sitting flat and neat, and the blind is housed in an aluminium hood box under the roofline.
The blind is made up in Visiontex® 94 mesh in Platinum, with all aluminium components powder coated in White to match the pavilion. The light mesh blends into the white structure so the blind almost disappears when it’s down, and it softens the late sun beautifully. From the inside, the space glows with filtered light rather than harsh glare, while still blocking 94% of UV.
The result is a bright, comfortable garden room that can be enjoyed well into the afternoon, and a blind that tucks neatly away when the pavilion is wanted fully open.
For a garden pavilion like this one, Ziptrak® Outdoor Blinds can help:
- Block up to 94% UV and cut the glare of the afternoon sun
- Keep the space light and airy with a pale mesh that suits a white structure
- Close in a wide opening with a single, neat run of fabric
- Give push-button control with a hardwired Linx® motor, no batteries to charge
- Protect outdoor furniture from fading and weather
- Make the space usable for more of the day, every day
