City Beach | Aluxor Awning System

At this home in City Beach the plastic roof covering their courtyard just wasn’t cutting it. Although it did the job to keep the rain off, it did little to keep warmth in over winter and keep the sun out over summer. Instead, it seemed to trap the overwhelming summer heat.

To combat this, we installed an Aluxor Awning System. Specifically designed to be installed above glass roofs or pergolas they stop the sun and heat before it even reaches the courtyard.

For this installation the Sun Dream Aluxor Awning System was fitted to cover the outdoor living zone beneath the existing roofing. The system was motorised for ease of use, with all aluminium components powder coated in white to match the home’s exterior finishes.

The fabric selected was a high-performance mesh, providing excellent UV protection while maintaining a light and airy feel. The mesh helps to filter sunlight, reduce heat gain, and protect furniture from fading.
