With the hot afternoon sun turning this patio area into an involuntary tanning salon, a sun blocking solution was required.
Working to maintain the beautiful aesthetic of the back yard Surfmist powder coated Ziptrak® Outdoor Blinds were selected. These were then paired with Visiontex® Mesh in Graphite from HVG Fabrics providing a 94% UV block while preserving a great view from the inside out.
The secondary benefit of this installation has been the significant reduction in wind blowing through the patio area making for a much more enjoyable entertaining area.
An Auto Lock Awning has also been used to block the hot sun streaming in the kitchen window, significantly decreasing the heat inside the house and keeping the plants from burning up.
