Installing and supplying Outdoor Blinds & Shade solutions in Mandurah
Mandurah gives you a lot to enjoy outdoors and a lot to shelter from. The afternoon sea breeze that makes summer bearable also whips straight through an open alfresco, the estuary and canals bring the midges and mosquitoes in on still evenings, and winter fronts arrive off the ocean with rain that comes in sideways. Outdoor blinds are how Mandurah homes turn a patio that gets used three months of the year into a room that gets used twelve.
All About Shade has been quoting and installing outdoor blinds across Mandurah and the Peel region for years, from the older homes around Dudley Park and Coodanup to the canal homes of Halls Head and Wannanup and the newer estates at Lakelands, Meadow Springs and Madora Bay. We are West Australian owned and operated, an authorised Ziptrak® retailer, and every installation is backed by our 5 Year Guarantee.
What we install most in Mandurah
Ziptrak® Outdoor Blinds are the product Mandurah customers ask for by name, and for good reason. The track guided system seals the blind against the sides of the opening, so the sea breeze does not get in behind it and flap it about, and it stops at any height so you can drop it to block a low afternoon sun off the water without closing the whole space in. For homes near the estuary, the sealed track is also what keeps the bugs out.
eZIP® Outdoor Blinds are our most popular choice where motorisation matters. A lot of Mandurah alfrescos have wide openings across the back of the house, and a motorised eZIP® set means the whole area can be closed up from the remote when the wind picks up. Poolside areas in Halls Head, Falcon and Meadow Springs are a common eZIP® job for us.
Roof to Fence Blinds suit the many Mandurah homes where the patio runs to a side fence and the low sun or a neighbour’s second storey is the problem. We often pair them with Ziptrak® on the open side to close the whole space. Where you want to keep the view of the water and just stop the rain, Ziptrak® Clear PVC Café Blinds give you a clear panel that seals like a window.
Built for estuary and coastal conditions
The mesh choice matters more here than it does inland. On the exposed western side of Mandurah we generally recommend a higher block-out mesh such as Visiontex® mesh or Vistaweave® mesh in the 95 to 99 per cent range, which cuts the glare off the water and holds back the bulk of the wind and rain while still letting air through. For canal-front homes that cop salt spray, powder coated aluminium hardware in a Colorbond® colour keeps the frames looking right for the long haul, and the Streamline pelmet option gives a fully aluminium, rust free housing.
Motors are worth thinking about on any blind you will raise and lower daily. Solar powered motorisation is popular in Mandurah because it avoids running cable through an existing patio and keeps working through a blackout.
