Installed in: Erskine, 6210
This Erskine installation was designed to do two things: reduce heat entering the home and create a more comfortable spot to sit out the front.
With hot sun hitting the front of the house, the interior can quickly become warmer and harder to keep cool. By combining a motorised Ziptrak® Outdoor Blind with a Auto Lock Awning, the owners now have a practical way to block harsh sun before it reaches the windows and outdoor sitting area.

This type of setup can make a noticeable difference to indoor comfort. By stopping more of the heat at the outside of the home, the blinds help reduce the need to rely as heavily on air conditioning during warmer weather.
The same installation also gives the owners a more comfortable front sitting area, with added privacy from the street and better protection from wind when they want to sit outside and watch the world go by.
For this installation, 1 x motorised Ziptrak® Outdoor Blind and 1 x Auto Lock Awning were selected to improve shade, comfort and usability at the front of the home.
The combination gives the owners two forms of protection. The Ziptrak® Outdoor Blind provides track-guided coverage where a more secure side-channel system is useful, while the Auto Lock Awning gives flexible shade across the exposed window and front sitting area.
All aluminium components were powder coated to work with the existing surroundings, helping the installation sit neatly on the home. HVG Fabrics supplied Visiontex® Plus Mesh in Neptune, offering 94% UV protection.
