Installing and supplying Outdoor Blinds & Shade solutions in Byford
Byford sits at the foot of the Darling Scarp, and the weather comes at it from both sides. In summer the hot, dry easterly rolls down off the hills in the morning and the afternoon sun bakes any west facing alfresco, with the sea breeze arriving late and light this far inland. In winter the mornings are cold and the fronts bring driving rain. Add a mix of housing that runs from compact new estate homes at The Glades and Byford on the Scarp to semi-rural blocks with big patios and sheds at Oakford, Darling Downs and Jarrahdale, and there is no single outdoor blind answer for the whole suburb. That is why we quote every job on site.
All About Shade installs outdoor blinds throughout Byford and the Shire of Serpentine-Jarrahdale, including Mundijong, Jarrahdale, Serpentine, Oakford, Cardup, Darling Downs and Whitby, and the neighbouring Armadale suburbs of Bedfordale, Kelmscott and Mount Nasura. We are West Australian owned, an authorised Ziptrak® retailer, and every installation carries our 5 Year Guarantee.
What we install most in Byford
Ziptrak® Outdoor Blinds are the most requested product for estate alfrescos, sealed in their side tracks against the easterly and the bugs, and able to stop at any height to block a low sun. eZIP® Outdoor Blinds are our value track guided option and a popular motorised choice; an eZIP® transformation at Bedfordale is a good example of what a track guided set does for a hills home. Roof to Fence Blinds handle the estate patio that runs to a side fence.
On the larger blocks the brief changes. Wide patios and shed openings often need a removable post to split the span, and Folding Arm Awnings give retractable shade over a deck without closing it in, which is what we installed on a hillside home at Mount Nasura. Crank & Clip Blinds are a simple manual blind for verandahs, and we have fitted them at Kelmscott.
Heat, dust and wide open spaces
The easterly brings dust as well as heat, so a mesh that blocks glare while still letting air through is the usual recommendation: a 94 to 97 per cent Visiontex® or Vistaweave®. Bushland and paddocks mean insects, and the Streamline pelmet with insect control system seals the top of the blind. On semi-rural blocks with no mains power near the patio, solar powered motors avoid trenching cable. Hardware is powder coated aluminium in Colorbond® colours to match a shed, a patio or a new build.
