Every Perth local knows the Fremantle Doctor. Calm morning. Strong afternoon sea breeze. And when it rolls in, it doesn’t hold back.
When wind hits an outdoor blind, the pressure created can be similar to placing a heavy weight against it. That is where engineering makes the difference.
Ziptrak® Outdoor Blinds have been tested on a 2.5m x 2.5m blind using recommended fixings for windy areas. In controlled lab testing, the system was subjected to a static load exceeding 750kg – equivalent to wind speeds of more than 160km/hr.

The side spline was also horizontally pull-tested to the equivalent of 1200kg on one side of a 2.5m blind – more than three times the force exerted on the tracks during 160km/hr winds.
In short, the Fremantle Doctor can blow. Ziptrak® is built to stay put.
No zips – despite the name. Just a purpose-designed, track-guided system engineered to resist extreme side forces and remain in the tracks.
• Withstands wind speeds up to 160km/hr

If you live near the coast or in an exposed Perth suburb, wind resistance is not a bonus feature. It is essential.
If the Fremantle Doctor is a regular guest at your place, it is worth installing blinds designed to handle it.
