This Geraldton installation is a great example of outdoor blinds being used to create a flexible indoor-outdoor living space.
The home already had a unique covered area that worked as more than just a standard patio. With a dining table, seating space and wide openings along the side of the home, it had the potential to feel like a true extension of the living area.
By installing Ziptrak® Outdoor Blinds across the openings, the owners now have much more control over the space. The blinds can be lowered to create a more protected area when the sun, wind or rain moves through, then raised again when they want to open the area back up.
The mesh still allows natural light and visibility through the space, so it feels connected to the outdoors rather than closed off completely. It is a practical setup for making a valuable part of the home more comfortable and usable across more of the year.
For this installation, 9 x Ziptrak® Outdoor Blinds were selected to enclose the openings around this unique outdoor living and dining area.
The track-guided system gives the owners flexibility across the space, allowing the blinds to be lowered when extra protection is needed or raised when the area can remain open.
All aluminium components were powder coated to work with the existing surroundings, helping the blinds sit neatly within the home’s structure. HVG Fabrics supplied Visiontex® Plus Mesh in Pearl White, offering 94% UV protection.
