This space was uncomfortable during summer, as it was exposed to the harsh elements of the Wheatbelt, particularly on hotter and windier days.
By enclosing it, we reduced the UV rays and gusty wind while still allowing gentle airflow. Thanks to the UV shielding properties of the HVG fabrics, the area experienced a significant heat reduction, turning it into a welcoming all-day oasis.
Furthermore, enclosing the area brought the much-appreciated benefit of keeping flies and mosquitos at bay. This has allowed the homeowners to finally enjoy their cosy space, allowing for undisturbed BBQ lunches and much-deserved sundowners.
5 x Motorised Ziptrak® Outdoor Blinds were used to enclose this patio area, allowing them to adjust the blinds with the click of a button. This design effectively transforms the patio area into a comfortable, enclosed space that can be enjoyed anytime and in any season.
The aluminium components, including the custom fit hood boxes, were powder coated in Night Sky, protecting the installation from the harsh outback sun.
The Ziptrak® blinds were paired with Visiontex® Carbon Black UV shielding mesh from HVG Fabrics with 94% UV protection. Designed to allow clear views from the inside while blocking visibility from the outside, ensuring privacy even from high vantage points.
