This Winthrop installation was designed to create a flexible outdoor entertaining area that could be enclosed when needed, without losing the connection to the backyard.

For a family home, this type of setup is especially practical. The blinds help provide protection from sun, wind and light rain while still allowing clear visibility across the yard, making it easier to keep an eye on the kids while they play outside.

When the weather is less comfortable, the Ziptrak® Outdoor Blinds can be lowered to create a more protected space for dining, relaxing or entertaining. When conditions are calm, they can be raised again to keep the area open.

It is a practical way to make the outdoor area more usable throughout the year while keeping it connected to everyday family life.

For this installation, 5 x Ziptrak® Outdoor Blinds were selected to provide flexible weather protection across the outdoor entertaining area.

The track-guided system allows the owners to enclose the space when extra protection is needed, helping reduce sun, wind and light rain moving through the area. At the same time, the mesh still allows visibility over the backyard, which is especially useful for supervising children while they play outside.

All aluminium components were powder coated to work with the existing surroundings, helping the blinds sit neatly within the space. HVG Fabrics supplied Visiontex® Plus Mesh in Titan Grey, offering 94% UV protection.
