This Southampton installation was designed to make the most of a beautiful elevated outdoor space while adding practical protection from the afternoon sun and changing weather.
The balcony already had a fantastic outlook across the surrounding property, making it a valuable spot for dining, relaxing and enjoying the view. The challenge was keeping the space comfortable when the sun became too harsh or the weather started to move through.
By installing Ziptrak® Outdoor Blinds, the owners now have a flexible way to reduce heat, glare and wind without blocking out the outlook that makes the space so special.
The mesh allows visibility to be retained across the landscape, so the balcony still feels open and connected to the outdoors. When extra protection is needed, the blinds can be lowered to create a more sheltered space. When conditions are calm, they can be raised again to open the area back up.
For this installation, 3 x Ziptrak® Outdoor Blinds were selected to provide targeted protection across the elevated outdoor area.
The track-guided system allows the blinds to sit neatly within the openings, giving the owners better control over sun, wind and light rain while keeping the balcony practical for everyday use.
The main benefit of this setup is that it improves comfort without taking away the view. The mesh helps reduce the impact of hot afternoon sun, glare and weather while still allowing the owners to look out across the surrounding property.
