South Fremantle | Ziptrak® Outdoor Blind Secures the Retail Display at Gold’s Gym

This South Fremantle job was a different kind of brief. Gold’s Gym runs 24 hours, so members can swipe in at any time, staffed or not. The apparel and supplements display near the entry had no way to close off when nobody was behind the counter to keep an eye on it, so a Ziptrak® Outdoor Blind was fitted to give the retail area its own open and closed states.

A motorised blind now covers the display in a black-finished mesh that blends straight into the fit-out. Raised during staffed hours, it presents like a proper shopfront. Lowered overnight or whenever the counter isn’t attended, it stops members from handling or helping themselves to stock while staff aren’t around to supervise.

The standout feature here is how easily it’s operated. Fitted with a steel hoodbox and run on a battery motor with remote control, staff can close the display in seconds at the end of a shift and open it straight back up when they’re next on site, no manual winding, no fuss.

Because it’s a mesh rather than a solid shutter, the display still reads through the blind even when it’s down, so the merchandise keeps drawing the eye while staying out of reach.
