This Melville patio looks straight out over a garden anchored by a sculptural tree stump and a run of brick paving out to the side gate. It’s the kind of outlook worth keeping, but the blind that had covered the opening for years had reached the end of its life, so rather than patch it up again, it came down and a new one went straight up in its place.
A new Crank & Clip Blind now covers the opening in Clear PVC, keeping that garden and its striking old tree fully visible from the patio rather than trading the view for shade or privacy. It gives the space proper protection from wind and rain without altering the structure at all.
Because the old blind came out and the new one went straight back into the same opening, the turnaround was fast, no rebuilding required, just a clean like-for-like swap that leaves the patio weatherproof again.
Aluminium components were powder coated in Evening Haze and operation is kept simply and fully manual. With a quick crank of the handle the blind opens or closes whenever it’s needed.
