This Kangaroo Gully installation was designed to make a beautiful spa area more comfortable and usable throughout the year.
The spa already sits in a unique position, with a peaceful outlook across the surrounding property. The challenge was keeping the area protected from wind and changing weather without blocking the views that make the space so appealing.
By installing 2 x Ziptrak® Outdoor Blinds with hoodboxes, the owners now have a flexible way to shelter the spa area when needed. During winter, the blinds can be lowered to help block cold wind and create a more comfortable space around the spa. When conditions are calm, they can be raised again to open the area back up.
The mesh allows the view to be retained, so the space still feels connected to the landscape rather than closed in. It is a practical setup for making the spa more usable across more seasons.
For this installation, 2 x Ziptrak® Outdoor Blinds with hoodboxes were selected to provide weather protection around the spa area.
The Ziptrak® system gives the owners a secure, track-guided solution that can be lowered when extra shelter is needed or raised when the area can stay open. The hoodboxes help protect the blinds when retracted, while also giving the installation a clean, finished appearance.
Graphite mesh was selected for the blind fabric, offering 94% UV protection while still allowing visibility across the surrounding property. The aluminium components were powder coated in Wallaby, helping the system blend neatly with the existing structure and outdoor setting.
