Kallaroo | Ziptrak® and Roof to Fence Blinds combination

Installed in: Kallaroo, 6025

City of Joondalup

Recently installed in Kallaroo.

This Kallaroo installation is a good example of how different outdoor blind systems can be combined to suit the way a space is actually used.

The outdoor entertaining area is quite open and exposed, which meant hot afternoon sun and strong breezes were moving through the space. Rather than using one blind style across the whole area, this setup combines a Ziptrak® Outdoor Blind with a Roof to Fence Blind to give the owners better control and flexibility.

The Ziptrak® Outdoor Blind provides track-guided protection on one side of the entertaining area, while the Roof to Fence Blind can be used in two ways. It can be dropped straight down like a traditional crank and clip style blind, or extended out towards the fence line to create a more open feel while still helping reduce sun and wind.

It is a practical setup for an outdoor area that needs protection from the elements without feeling fully closed in.

For this installation, 1 x Ziptrak® Outdoor Blind and 1 x Roof to Fence Blind were selected to improve comfort across the outdoor entertaining area.

The combination gives the owners two types of protection in the one space. The Ziptrak® Outdoor Blind offers a neat track-guided solution, while the Roof to Fence Blind provides a flexible setup that can either drop straight down or extend out towards the fence line.

All aluminium components were powder coated to work with the existing surroundings, helping create a clean and consistent finish. HVG Fabrics supplied Visiontex® Plus Mesh in Carbon, offering 94% UV protection.

For this type of outdoor entertaining area, this combination can help:

  • Reduce hot afternoon sun through exposed openings
  • Soften strong breezes moving through the space
  • Provide track-guided protection where needed
  • Allow a more open feel when the Roof to Fence Blind is extended
  • Improve comfort without permanently closing the area in
  • Make the outdoor entertaining space more usable across more conditions
