Bicton | Ziptrak® Outdoor Blinds Keep the Pool in View and the Street Out

Three individually motorised Ziptrak® Outdoor Blinds now wrap the front-facing deck of this Bicton home, an elevated, gable-roofed space that looks straight down over the pool but also sits in full view of the street below. The brief was to close that sightline off without losing the one view that mattered from inside.

Finished in a Flint mesh with 95% UV protection and framed in Basalt powder coat, the three blinds wrap the open sides of the deck so the pool stays fully visible to anyone relaxing up top, while the street loses its view in. The largest blind runs on a mains-wired Alpha 240V motor for reliable everyday use, and the two smaller blinds are battery-powered, all controlled from the one remote.

Because the deck sits directly above the pool, one blind was fitted with an extra heavy baserail and recessed into a post positioned right in front of the pool fence line, keeping the enclosure secure and tidy without interfering with the fence’s own compliance. The job was even priced up with the option to add a fourth blind near the BBQ down the track, so the owners can extend the same setup later without any guesswork on colour or fit.
