Beckenham | Café Patio Upgrade with Ziptrak® Outdoor Blinds

This Beckenham installation was completed for Fika on Brix, where the goal was to create a more comfortable outdoor dining space for customers during the warmer months.

The café already had a great covered patio area, but when the sun came through strongly, the space could quickly become hot, bright and uncomfortable. For a hospitality venue, that makes a real difference to how long customers want to sit outside and enjoy their meal.

By installing 3 x Ziptrak® Outdoor Blinds, Fika on Brix can now provide better shade and comfort across the patio while still maintaining an open, welcoming feel. Customers can sit outside through summer with better protection from heat, glare and UV exposure, without feeling shut away from the surrounding space.

For this installation, 3 x Ziptrak® Outdoor Blinds were selected to improve shade and comfort across the café patio area.

Ziptrak® was a practical choice for this commercial setting because the blinds can be lowered when the sun is harsh, then raised again when the area can stay open. This gives the café more control over customer comfort throughout the day.

Basalt Visiontex® mesh was selected for the blinds, offering 99% UV protection while still allowing natural light and visibility through the space. The aluminium components were also powder coated in Basalt, creating a clean, consistent finish that works neatly with the existing building.
