This Madora Bay patio was already set up as the hub of the backyard: a corner lounge, a BBQ and even room for a ping pong table. What it was missing was a way to hold onto that setup once the wind or heat made one side of the space uncomfortable.
Three Ziptrak® Outdoor Blinds now enclose the patio, two narrower blinds at either end and a much wider run across the open side, all in a Charcoal mesh with a 99% UV block. Rather than reaching for standard off-the-shelf hardware, the posts and trims were custom fabricated to the exact openings, right down to the millimetre, and powder coated in Woodland Grey to match the existing patio frame precisely.
That’s the part that makes this job worth a closer look. The trims were cut to the specific run lengths needed rather than a stock size, and the post was fabricated to suit the exact mounting point under the beam. None of it is visible once the job is finished, which is exactly the point. The blinds read as part of the original patio build, not an add-on bolted in afterwards.
A Bug Guard is fitted along the bottom of each blind, so evenings around that outdoor lounge and BBQ stay bug-free without losing airflow. Operation across all three is manual with a pull stick, a simple and low-maintenance way to run blinds of this size.
