With a west-facing balcony, the intense afternoon sun was creating a free sauna in the apartment every afternoon. 🔥🔥
Second to that, the large balcony with an open-plan view extending across Marmion to the Indian Ocean was basically unusable when the strong winds started blowing.
To address these issues, Ziptrak® Outdoor Blinds have been installed, extending from the roof to the floor. This design effectively transforms the balcony into a comfortable, enclosed space that can be enjoyed anytime and in any season.
👀 Additionally, the installation offers enhanced privacy. Despite being several floors up, the blinds provide a barrier against the gaze of neighbours, allowing residents to use their balconies freely. The blinds are designed to allow clear views from the inside while blocking visibility from the outside, ensuring privacy even from high vantage points.
5 x Motorised Ziptrak® Outdoor Blinds were used to enclose this balcony area with the motorisation allowing them to adjust the blinds with the click of a button.
The Ziptrak® blinds were paired with Visiontex® Titan Grey UV shielding mesh from HVG Fabrics with 95% UV protection.
The aluminium components, including the custom fit hood boxes, were powder coated in Woodland Grey, protecting the installation from sun and salty wind damage.
